I've setup a COD4 server.
Its running on the standard port so you should be able to connect if you drop down the console in COD4 (press the tilde key) and type "connect 78.129.175.87"
or
"connect cod4.fpshq.com"
The server is in "HC" (hardcore) mode. That means no crosshair and realistic damage for life like gaming.
If the console doesn't work go to controls and there is an option there to enable the console.
If you notice any bugs or general wierdness on the server post a message here. I'll be monitoring the utilization closely over the next few days and making tweaks if needed.
The server is located just on the edge of London, UK in a DC. Its privately owned by me and is connected via a 100mbit connection. People in the UK/Europe should have no problems. Users in the USA may find the latency is a little high.
Theres more to come in the future. Not just COD4 but many other things, including a new site. You probably guessed that already from the above. |
